Description: Learn how to work with heavy gauge wire, as you discover the art of making Braided Cuffs. Instructions for three braided patterns will be provided. Each student will choose one of these patterns to work with to create their cuff. The class will focus on creating uniform braids; knowing when to anneal the wire as well as forging, filing and sanding. Skills learned in this workshop can also be used for making rings, earrings and pendants.
Materials included in price: Step by step color illustrated handout, copper wire, solder, Mizzy wheel, consumables, use of tools.

- Coarse half round hand file #1 or #2,
- Fine half round hand file #4 (preferably, Rio Grande: Item No. 114930, Item No. 114929),
- File handles (also available at Rio)
- If you have them and can easily bring: 6” steel block and heavy chasing hammer (6oz or heavier). I will be bringing a small number of all these tools for sharing if you do not have your own.
