Description: My favorite technique for including non-fireable stone cabochons in my silver clay pieces was borne of my determination to find something cool to do with my extremely old, tarnished scraps. By combining different silver formulas and repurposing some common cheap craft store tools, we can make stunning work that also uses one of those kiln-phobic stone cabochons we all love to hoard. Even better, this entire project can be done using a butane torch, which is perfect for artists who don’t have a kiln or who want to teach in a location that does not have kiln access.
