Description: In this class, you will create a filigree wire-woven pendant that can be worn in two different ways. Students will learn how to form bead-like ends on wires, how to manipulate the wire to achieve smooth curves, and how to use a basic wire weave to join the wires and complete the pendant. We will also cover wire forging, sanding, and polishing. For a bold look, you can create two mirror-image pendants and turn them into earrings.
Materials included in price: Step by step color illustrated handout, copper wire in two gauges, copper bezel cup, choice of a cabochon, consumables. (Upgrade to silver will be available in class.)
