Description: Unleash your inner metal clay animal and learn to sculpt your own wearable wee beasties! Whatever your style may be - derpy dragons, fierce phoenixes, graceful seahorses, or even tribal-style sea turtles – we’ll be focusing on various ways to form, well, forms. Whether you prefer your creatures to be whimsical or serious, their anatomy and their expressions contribute to the overall aesthetic of your work. While these mini masterpieces are fun as figurines, each includes a hidden bail or other way of hanging/wearing. Each artist will be offered 100g of bronze clay, which is enough to be able to make two pieces. If so desired, students may choose to upgrade to fine silver for one or both pieces, for an additional fee. The techniques remain the same, regardless of preferred metal. Because the bronze has a longer firing schedule, pieces will be fired after our class time together ends, however, finishing techniques will indeed be covered so that everyone leaves comfortable and confident that they will be able to polish their beasties to their desired finish.
Materials included in price: 100g Bronze clay (silver upgrade availble +$90/50grams at the class).
